Great opportunity as a Graduate Site Geoenvironmental Engineer at a leading, Medium-sized  Ground Investigation Company. This role is based in Glasgow.

Our client is a leader in the provision of ground investigation services. Their expertise covers both geotechnical and geoenvironmental aspects, as well as laboratory services, across a wide range of sectors nationwide.
 
Based out of their Glasgow office, your duties will comprise assisting with the organisation and delivery of site investigation projects assigned to you. This will include full accountability for all site-based logistics and activities and the effective site management of all technical, commercial and HSEQ (health, safety, environment and quality) components of each project and staff assigned to you and within your scope of responsibility.

Project management and Technical Excellence
  • Execution of ground investigations
  • Contract management on site to including delivery of projects on time and to maximise profits from each contract.
  • Contribute expertise and provide input into the siteworks of new projects.
  • Prepare and deliver technical reports.
Communication and self-management
  • Maintain an effective line of communication between site and the office.
  • Maintain courteous and professional relations with clients and build upon the reputation of the company within the industry.
  • Build effective working relationships with other technical specialists within the company.
  • Manage own time to ensure effective use of both billable and non-billable hours.
  • Work with Principal engineers to develop personal objectives.
  • Participate in professional growth opportunities and training and manage own career by being accountable for one’s behaviour, performance and development.
  • Ensure alignment of behaviours, decisions and actions to meet standards expected at the company.
Maintenance and Development Of Management Systems and Business Development
  • Contribute to and support management plans to enhance company performance and profitability.
  • Support the maintenance of the quality, environmental and health and safety accreditations.
  • Act in a professional and safe manner supporting the safeguarding of others in the workplace.
Monitoring and Auditing
  • Assist the project managers in monitoring contractual and assurance performance.
Access to Information
  • Ensure Electronic Access to all relevant projects is kept up to date.
  • Ensure update of Contract Delivery Key Performance Indicators.

  • Keep abreast of key economic factors, technological advances and political change that may affect the geo-environmental industry.

Key Performance Indicators will be set in conjunction with the directors on an annual basis. As a guideline the geoenvironmental engineer is expected to ensure that all site work and technical output is carried out to a high standard, safely, on time and within budget. Key division of time spent on each part of the job will be set on an annual basis and reviewed regularly.
